Forgiveness is primarily for your own benefit

Sometimes we logically “let it go” and forgive but the subconscious mind brings it back to our forefront.  Some of us can honestly say we’ve worked on forgiving for years but still can’t let it go.  This is our mind not being resentful as much as it is trying to protect us from additional trauma. If we experienced an event requiring forgiveness over and over, those neurons would have fired over and over, creating quite a rut in our neural pathways. This is where NeurOptimal Neurofeedback is very helpful in breaking out of those maladaptive ruts and allowing the brain to lay down more optimal pathways.
