In the Fall of 2012 I went for my first few Neurofeedback sessions as I was looking for a solution for motion sickness. I was your regular married woman, full time employee, playing soccer mom to 2 active children and volunteering in their schools. I just presumed my lack of energy, drive and focus was due to my daily schedule and concerns of getting it all done. I’d get 7- 8 hours of sleep per night, drag myself out of bed and then would feel like I was trudging through molasses by 4pm. By the time dinner and homework was done I didn’t even have the energy to make it through a TV show in its entirety.
After just 3 Neurofeedback sessions I was experiencing progress in areas I never realized could be improved; Anxiety, Sleep, Energy, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I was absolutely shocked to say the least. I’ve heard others tell miraculous stories but I am a true skeptic at heart. After 6 hours of sleep I was bouncing out of bed before my alarm clock. This benefit alone was worth my investment of time and money. But in addition, I wasn’t obsessing about the little things in my life as I had before. This piece was more apparent to my family who had previously endured my wrath; or as I called it, “my super incredibly organized mindset”. It seems the saying, ” if momma ain’t happy, no one is happy” is quite valid.
I kept going for a total of 8 sessions. I asked my trainer why he wasn’t bringing this system to the masses as I knew so many people who could benefit from just half of the relief I had experienced. He told me he wanted to keep it for the elite, those who could pay top dollar.
As my purpose has always been helping others, his response more than irritated me. Within a few days, I resolved to buy the system myself and offer sessions to people at an affordable price.
Too often in life we are are in the position of spending money on either what we want or what we need. At Brain Training For You, we’d like to eliminate either/or and offer people the ability to have what you need and want.
When our mental and physical health is functioning optimally, what else might be possible in our lives?
Our goal at Brain Training For You is to make neurofeedback available to the masses.
So, here’s to helping you and your loved ones.
